Halloween Hanger
This little Halloween Hanger is the perfect afternoon project. I found these cut files in the Silhouette online store and knew exactly what I wanted to do with them. It's the best kind of project too, very little materials, minimal cuts, and quick!
You'll need is 3 pieces of 8.5x11 Chipboard and 6 sheets of cardstock, colors up to you. I went with 3 black, 1 white, 1 green, and 1 orange. Also, 1 yard of coordinating ribbon.
I cut the chipboard and background papers to 8.5 x 8.5
and attached to make three backs.
In Silhouette Design, I resized the images to be 7.5" on the largest side. Be sure to "lock size" on the pumpkin and spider web so they remain proportional. The haunted house was a bit skinny so I resized it to 7.5" tall and 6.5" wide. To do this, simply click on the image, click on "scale", and change properties.
I find gluing these die cuts tedious and can never get all the small pieces to stay. I found this awesome spray glue by accident and LOVE it. Be sure to put something behind it and definitely spray outside because of fumes. I barely sprayed a light layer over the back of the die cut then placed on back piece. So easy!
All that's left is to grab some coordinating ribbon and a hot glue gun! With a simple bow at the top and strips down each side, this hanger is done!
You can find all the files for this project on the Silhouette online store here. And an extra bonus... all their Halloween shapes are on sale this week at 25% off! Grab them while you can.
