Refreshing Summer Card

As the summer comes to an end and the kiddos are all heading back to school, I found time to get this cute little Summer Card done. First time in a long while that I used a round card base. Rather enjoyed the challenge :)

Materials Used:
Brown Cardstock base 5"
(I used the brown round card set from Studio G)
House Mouse "Splish, Splash... A Citrus Bath" stamp
Yellow patterned paper
Purple stripe patterned paper
Brown & Pink cardstock
Green Ribbon
White Lace
Pink dots
White Uniball Pen
Wink of Stella clear pen
Glossy Accents
Copic Markers
Lemon & Lemonade Y08, Y04, Y02
Mouse E15, E13, E11, E00
Background B00, B000, E13, E11
Flower V17, V15, V12, G85, G82
Colorless Blender 0

Instructions:
I first stamped my image and colored with the copics.
Cut image to 3.25" wide x 2.75" tall.
I matted this onto the brown cardstock with a 1/32" border.
Then matted onto the pink cardstock with 1/16" border.
On my silhouette I cut out a 4.75" scalloped circle in the yellow PP. Adhere this to the base.
I added a brown 4.25" circle cut on top of the yellow.
Then I adhered the purple PP to the bottom half and cut off extra.
Add green ribbon across the middle and white lace overlapping.
Using the green ribbon I cut a little corner piece to accent the colored stamp.
I used a white pen to draw stitch lines and used pink dotted embellishments for the scallop circle.
With pop dots I placed my colored image in the middle of the card.
Last I embellished with my Wink of Stella clear pen on the flower and glossy accents.

My challenge for you this week is to break out those coloring pencils, markers, crayons, acrylics, watercolors, or whatever medium suits you and color an image to use on your next project.

Be sure to link your project below and leave a comment for me :)
